Located on the 39th and 40th floors of one of the tallest mixed-use skyscrapers in New York City, this duplex has edgy yet sophisticated interior. Designed by Axis Mundi Design, this project has many impressive features, such as attention to detail, careful selection of artwork, daring use of color, and integration of material and texture. But one of the most daring decision is the leather walls that distinguish the social areas of the household. Besides that, the same leather is introduced on the handrail of the dramatic feature staircase.

Natural wood in contrast to the cold marble slab are the main materials used in the interior. This approach gave warmth and at the same time brought chic into this house.

With a funny nickname “Deep Pit”, this unusual hotel is world’s first lowest lying hotel which opened recently. Officially called “Intercontinental Shanghai Wonderland”, it is located at the SheShan Mountain Range. Having two floors above ground, 16 floors underground and two floors underwater, this eye-popping, luxury hotel is standing out as a must-see destination in itself. Built mostly below ground in a deep pit of an abandoned quarry in southwestern Shanghai, it’s being hailed as a modern architectural wonder.

The owner of the house are from New Zealand, so based on their choices, steel beams are exposed and other design features are in part influenced by a desire to remind them of a South Island style. A full width and side return extension is added, with full height steel doors adding an industrial style to this typical Victorian brick terraced house. The ground floor has been completely reconfigured, to create once large open plan kitchen, dining and living space. At upper level a luxury master suite has been formed, the large free standing bath is laced in the center. becoems a centre piece. A new bedroom and ensuite is created in the extension.
