Designed by Ambidestro Arquitetura, Anita Apartment is a 70m2 apartment located in Porto Alegre, South Brazil. 70m2 isn’t that spacious especially if you want to it can take care of all the daily necessities of its residents. But apparently, the owner wants to privilege the breadth without giving up the design and functionality that an apartment of this size must anticipate.

Like it or not, in these days, all modern interior design all look similar, no matter eastern or western. Sleek, clean, minimal all these become key factors of a modern room however, it also somehow loses traditional characters. That is the main reason I want to talk about this modern apartment located in Chengdu, China.
xDesigned by Dreamdesign, this two-storey apartment is located in Kyiv downtown. Originally, the house was built in the last century by a famous architect Joseph Karakis. Its history and the unique atmosphere of the old city became the semantic background and the starting point for renovation of the apartment. Using timeless solutions such as natural textures, restrained colors, and eco-friendly materials, the apartment is well designed to make sure it won’t go out of fashion and age beautifully.
Located on fifty-sixth floor, this freshwater place apartment is completely re-planned to accommodate a couple with a growing family. Making use of sliding or hinged panels, living spaces is cleverly seperated. A continuous vertical texture is applied to many materials and envelopes the interior – customized oak timber wall paneling, sheer fabric curtains and upholstered furniture. Besides those customized furniture and soft furnishing, the light fixture used in this place is very eye-catching as well.
Designed by interior studio Tiovivo Creativo, this 60m2 loft is a home for a demanding and detailed ‘single’, passionate about freedom, cycling, nature, and little friend of conventions. The owner wants his identity in every detail so that he felt in his authentic home. To fulfill this request, the loft was enlarged to make it habitable and locate the private area of the house: bedroom, dressing room, bathroom, and study area. A metal staircase designed to connect the upper level and lower level, where dinning room, living room, kitchen, storage modules, cleaning room, guest toilet, and gym located. The another design catches my attention in this interior is the painter that covers the front of the kitchen work area. Instead of traditional backslashes, the food related wall mural makes the kitchen outstanding and quite unique.
Designed by Daniel Hopwood Studio for a newly married couple, this incredible house is located in north London. Although this house has many advantage such as lots of space and plenty of bedrooms, its original design and layout was a little too open and lack soul for this couple. To make the place more suitable for the couple’s life style, Daniel Hopwood Studio successfully transformed this place and create a perfect balance between vintage and modern together.
